We're taking apart Hades' game mechanics and putting them under the microscope to see how the progression system influences game balance.
We will be using Machinations to balance player damage and enemy health while keeping track of how player choices will impact their in-game progression.
During this session, we'll go over:
Making sense of & communicating game mechanics
Validating game design with Quick Runs
Using End Conditions to get the most out of the Machinations chart
Best practices for using Machinations during the design and prototype process
